Ken Pippert & Lori Lindow Scholarship

The Ken Pippert & Lori Lindow Scholarship was established in 2024 in honor of Ken and Lori's belief in the importance of promoting training in the skilled trades. Each year one scholarship will be awarded to a male and female graduating senior from Frankenmuth High School who plans to further their education with skilled trades training.



Criteria for Selection:

In an attempt to carry out the wishes of the Donor, the following criteria for the awarding of the scholarship(s) have been determined and will be overseen by the Selection Committee as defined below.

  1. Announcement. The availability of the applications for this scholarship will be announced by the Frankenmuth High School Guidance Department each year. The winners will be announced at the High School Honors Program. A standardized application shall be used for this scholarship. One scholarship shall be awarded to a male student at FHS and one scholarship shall be awarded to a female student at FHS annually.
  2. Criteria for Selection
  3. The applicant must be a member of the current graduating class of Frankenmuth High School.
  4. Priority will be given to applicants pursuing a career in a skilled trade. Secondary priority will go to an applicant pursuing a career in Information Technology (IT).
  5. The applicant must be planning to attend a college, university, or trade school full time, and prior to distribution of the scholarship funds must be accepted and enrolled.
  6. The applicant must demonstrate academic skills by having a grade point of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale.
  7. The applicant must demonstrate service to his/her school and community through active participation.
  8. The scholarship will be awarded without regard to race, ethnicity, national origin, disability, religion, or other protected characteristic.
  9. Other criteria as recommended by the Donor.
  10. Selection Committee. The Selection Committee for the scholarship shall be selected by the Board of Governors of The Frankenmuth Community Foundation.

The Committee may be comprised of the following:

a. A representative of Donors family or their designees

b. The Frankenmuth Community Foundation Scholarship Committee


This group shall act as the selection committee and their selection shall be final.
