Margaret L. Hetzner Nursing Memorial Scholarship

The Margaret L. Hetzner Memorial Nursing Scholarship was established in 2017 in memory of a loving mother and hard-working, dedicated registered nurse. It is available to graduating seniors at Frankenmuth High School.

Born in 1931, Margaret Hetzner followed in her mother’s footsteps to become a registered nurse. Margaret’s daughter Jayne, as well as her granddaughter Julie, have also become registered nurses. Margaret worked as a nurse in a newborn nursery, as a pediatric nurse, as a medical-surgical nurse supervisor, and as an industrial nurse for General Motors. Margaret expressed a deep love of God, family, friends and her patients.

This proud tradition of nursing is to be continued through this scholarship to benefit a student pursuing a nursing career.
