Warren "Whitey" Wilson Basketball Award

Warren "Whitey" Wilson Basketball Award

Warren "Whitey" Wilson exemplified excellence on and off the basketball court. Whitey had a coaching career that most can only dream of. He coached in Frankenmuth for 32 years and compiled a record of 520-183. He has the most wins in Saginaw County basketball history and ranks 5th in the state of Michigan. The FHS gym and Whitey were almost one and the same; even after he retired he stayed in the community and followed all the sports programs.

Whitey passed away unexpectedly on October 5, 2004. His family, friends, and athletes wanted to remember and honor him by setting up a scholarship award for the senior basketball player who excelled and led his team in the sport Whitey loved.
