Frankenmuth Jaycees Volunteer Scholarship
Assisting high school seniors in financing their education.
The purpose of this scholarship is to honor and recognize the volunteer service accomplishments of a graduating senior from Frankenmuth High School.

Criteria for Selection
The recipient of the Frankenmuth Jaycees Volunteer Scholarship will be chosen based upon the following criteria:

  1. The recipient must have demonstrated concern for others by service to humanity (community, church, and/or school)
  2. The recipient must have demonstrated high moral character and behavior in school and community, and is well liked and respected by peers and superiors.
  3. The recipient must have an academic record which indicates a good chance for success in college or other higher education institution.
  4. Extracurricular activities, work experience, and other honors will also be considered as criteria for selection.

The Frankenmuth Jaycees are proud to sponsor the Volkslaufe Scholarship program, which is our way of recognizing the accomplishments of senior cross country and track & field participants, encouraging them to further their education. It is our intention to assist high school seniors in financing their education.

The Volkslaufe Scholarship, as we call it, will be available to any female or male high school senior who has participated in cross country or track for a period of three years. Eligibility requirements, the application process, and types of personal and academic information that should be included are explained in the following pages. Applicants will be evaluated based upon the information supplied in the application; therefore, it is important each question be answered fully, providing all information that will be looked at in the judging process.

Criteria for Selection:
  1. Applicant must be a dependent child of a Jaycees Member.
  2. Applicant must be a Frankenmuth high school graduating senior.
  3. Seniors who have completed a minimum of three (3) years involvement in both or either cross country or track. The years do not have to be consecutive. The senior year involvement in cross country or track will be used for the minimum three (3) year requirement.
  4. Seniors who are planning to enroll in a full-time course of study at an accredited two or four-year college, university, or vocational technical school.
