Frankenmuth Industrial Services Scholarship

Frankenmuth Industrial Services is a world-class leader of custom returnable steel containers, located in Frankenmuth, MI.  FIS was founded in 1988 by George Anscomb, and has been employing local skilled tradesmen ever since.  It has remained in business and experiences success because of the support and dedication of its hard-working employees.  Frankenmuth Industrial would like to continue supporting the community by offering a scholarship(s) to a young individual(s) who demonstrates a true understanding of hard work.

 
Criteria for Selection
  • Applicant must be nominated or referred by current or past FIS employee.
  • Applicant must be a member of the current graduating high school class and a student connected to FIS (family member or friend of current/former FIS employee).
  • Applicant must be planning to attend a college, university or trade school and prior to scholarship payout must be accepted and enrolled.
  • Preferential consideration will be given to applicants with direct connection to FIS, either as a past employee or relative of an employee.
  • Applicant must demonstrate the understanding of hard-work by writing a one to two-page essay describing what hard-work means to him/her.  This can be through past job experience, farming, athletics, family commitment, service, church, etc.
